The balcony was a nice extra, and the location is right at the water's edge. The apartment was okay, with no real problems. The bathroom was excellent and the beds were fine, though getting in through the tight stairwells felt a bit dodgy.

We were warmly welcomed by the site manager, who was both kind and professional. Even with the language barrier, he was available and managed to help with everything we asked for. We stayed for one night in early July with our four children, and the welcome was a very pleasant surprise. We'd recommend this hotel and guesthouse to anyone wanting to discover Croatia in a welcoming, caring setting. Thank you for the hospitality that made such a lovely start to our time in Croatia. We hope to come back.

The balcony had a great view, and downstairs the restaurant run by the same family served great food. The owners were really friendly and kind. The apartment was clean and had what we needed for a longer stay. I'd recommend it to everyone.

We've been to Bakar twice and were so happy with both visits. It's a small family-run place with apartments and a restaurant, and the family are lovely and all pitch in to help. The apartments are in a 300-year-old house and are absolutely fine for the price. Service was incredibly good, and they were very helpful.

The Afrodita apartment is spacious, clean and beautifully furnished, with lots of thoughtful touches. The hosts are a very welcoming family, and the food at their restaurant, Vallis, is excellent. For two people, the meat or fish platter is especially worth trying.
