Fun Hostel

The bathroom was one of the better parts: clean, plenty of toilets, a shower with good pressure and temperature, and rolling baskets that kept my things dry and safe. The beds were comfortable and had power nearby, though there were no curtains. The hostel is about a 20-minute walk from town, which was easy enough to do a few times a day. The road felt safe, though drivers were reckless, and the nearby supermarkets were useful despite the uphill walk. At the beach, the water seemed generally clean, with lots of little fish, but on some days it smelled like garbage and oily stuff floated on top, clouding the upper 20 cm. It's a dog beach, which I enjoyed watching, though that may not suit everyone. The containers behind the beach looked intimidating at first, but I got used to seeing the impressive processes there. The main issue for me was tobacco: one older woman was smoking inside the hostel that morning and seemed to ignore everyone and the rules, so I had to rush outside in my pajamas at 5 AM. The social side was lacking during my early June week, possibly just bad luck, and the limited facilities, uninviting common areas and lack of a kitchen didn't help.
