Hostel Old School

We met some friendly people, and the general atmosphere was really pleasant. The mattress in our room was poor, though the surroundings were lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there’s Wi-Fi. Lines 25 and 26 go into the city, but they don’t come often; walking takes about an hour. Still, I left with a great feeling about the place.

The two piglets were the reason I booked after reading about them online, and wow, they were everything I’d hoped for. Sweet, funny, cuddly, relaxed little furry vacuum cleaners. I felt very safe here, and the owner is a swell guy. The stay was peaceful, with a breathtaking view and loads of history within those walls. The rest was excellent too, but those piglets....

The service was excellent, the room really clean, and the beds comfortable. We booked a double room with a shared bathroom, and the air conditioning worked especially well. It’s a bit far from the beaches. Keep expectations sensible when booking, since this is more of a backpackers hostel, but it’s great for that kind of place and price.

The beach was a little far away, but that was okay. We had clean sheets, and there were some free things in the kitchen; the hostel itself was really nice. The problem was the other guests. There was a clear sign asking people to keep things clean and wash their own dishes, but almost everyone left dirty dishes in the sink and didn’t tidy up. The kitchen was always filthy. It was disrespectful to the owner. Boys, clean up after yourselves.
