Lapis Apartments

The place had been nicely renovated and was well equipped, but getting around was awkward: there was no lift, the accommodation was spread across different buildings, and there was no parking. The staff weren’t helpful.

A charming place to stay, just a short walk from the city center.

We slept really well in the super comfortable bed, and the apartment had everything we needed, from a kitchenette to a big TV. The staff were great to reach on WhatsApp in German and even shared tips for cheaper parking. You can still hear traffic outside despite the nearly new double-glazed windows. Maybe that stands out more to me as someone from the countryside ;-) I'd happily book it again.

The entrance and landing are in terrible shape. There were pigeon feathers in a foul-smelling puddle by the apartment door, and the place was so unclean it really needs to be said. It's a shame, because the old house could have real character, but the photos seem to hide its condition. Inside, the apartment is close to perfect: two huge TVs, a fully equipped kitchen, a big shower, and a comfortable bed. The mezzanine bed may be awkward for very tall people. It's a lovely apartment and the price is OK, which makes the state of the entrance even more disappointing.
