For a budget stay, this is one of the best options around Opatija. You get your own bedroom and share the bathroom, and the price is very low. Taking the value for money into account, along with the lovely owner and her cute dog, I’d give it 4+ out of 5. We were offered coffee early in the morning, and the terrace looks out over a beautiful sea and bay view. We stayed for one memorable day, and it’s certainly worth considering if you’re on a budget.

The people were lovely, and it’s a great place to stay. There’s no private bathroom, but it’s kept so clean that it wasn’t an issue. They even did our laundry when we asked.

The only thing we weren't keen on was sharing the bathroom. The rooms themselves were spotless and well looked after, though, and the house made a great base between Opatija and Rijeka for a long weekend exploring Croatia. The owner was so welcoming, bringing us Croatian coffee in the morning and a cold beer when we got back in the evening. We also loved the view from our room and the terrace she provided. Everything else was fantastic. We'd happily come back, especially as a young couple.

The hosts were wonderful, especially the lady, such a sweetheart. The house itself is superb, and it's just outside Rijeka, close to Opatija. A fantastic place to stay, highly recommended.
