We loved having a peaceful place to come back to, away from the crowded seaside resorts. There are several beaches 10-25 minutes away by car, and Sveta Marina and Ravni were our favourites. We also enjoyed evening walks through the hilltop old towns of Labin, Pican, Plomin, and Pazin. At Apartmani Stefano, the owners welcomed us with homemade cheesecake, liqueur, and lavender and herb cream. The lovely lady even made pancakes for breakfast. In the hot summer weather, having the pool to ourselves, including late at night, was refreshing. It’s a charming, relaxing base if you’re after authentic places away from the crowds.

The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. There’s a pool that looks brand new, plus swings and a ping-pong table. The hosts were friendly, flexible, and always ready to sort out questions or problems. They regularly brought us tomatoes and cake, and treated the children to ice cream. Highly recommended.

The pool is so clean and well cared for, and the big yard has space for a barbecue, table tennis, swings for the kids, and more. The accommodation is comfortable and well set up for a holiday, with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a private terrace. We’ve stayed here two years in a row, and the hosts have become friends.
