BM Apartments Rogoznica

The owner is a lovely person, and I hope I can come back. With the sea access, sunset views, and local climate, it’s the perfect spot for a lazy vacation where time seems to slow down.

The calm sea, quiet pebble and concrete beach, and the view were lovely. It’s about a 2-kilometer walk into Rogoznica, with a little shop and pancake and pizza stand nearby. The location really is great for a holiday. The apartment, though, was dirty and needed attention. There was a tomato under the furniture, old cereal left in the kitchen cupboards, and a blocked shower tray that wouldn’t drain. We had to turn the water off while showering so it wouldn’t spill into the bathroom. The air conditioning leaked because it was broken, and we managed to stop it with a toothpick. The table and chairs were old and worn; in the heat, the weight of someone sitting on them made them bend, so you could easily end up on the concrete. The woman looking after the place was unfriendly, and we didn’t get the Croatian hospitality we’re used to. At the same price, the owners of nearby apartments seemed to take much more care of their guests and show warmth.

We only spoke with the owner by phone. Halfway through the stay, he said mooring our pontoon would cost an extra 20 euros per day. We had sent him a photo of it before booking and got no reply at the time. Later he wrote that we didn’t owe him anything, but the whole thing still left a bad taste. This was my 15th visit to Croatia, and I’d never run into a situation like this before.

Such a peaceful, beautiful spot to unwind. The owner was friendly.
