Rogoznica is a peaceful Mediterranean destination in the central Adriatic, with 50 kilometres of indented coastline. Its beauty and safe harbour make it popular with sailors and boaters. The centre is on an island joined to the shore by a causeway built in the late 1880s, and settlement of the island began in 1418. Stone houses along the promenade give it a Mediterranean feel, while pine forest covers much of the island and makes for pleasant walks and recreation. The nearby national parks Kornati and Krka add to the appeal, and summer brings cultural and entertainment events, including Ribarska fešta (Fishermen's festivity) and Večer klapa (Evening of Dalmatian traditional songs). Split is 38 km away, Trogir 22 km, Šibenik 23 km, and Vodice 30 km. Split Airport is 26 km from the property.
