Perla Resort

We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and the beautiful pools. The location is lovely too. It’s sad to see the hotel deteriorating, though: the water leaks haven’t been properly fixed, and some of the walls look ugly.

The setting was the best part for us: you’re right by the clear Adriatic, and most rooms have lovely views. The private pebble beach has plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and the water is great for swimming. The pool was cared for, but smaller than I expected. We had a modern, clean room with a comfortable bed, a roomy balcony, and reliable air conditioning. From our sea-view room, we watched beautiful sunsets each evening. Breakfast had a decent mix of continental food and local specialties, though I’d look to Rogoznica’s restaurants for dinner. There are several good choices within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful, but service slowed down at busy times. Free parking was handy when traveling by car. It’s a solid 4-star resort with good value and a lovely spot for a relaxing beach break, though it didn’t feel like a true 5-star stay. Ask for a higher-floor sea-view room if the outlook matters to you. Shoulder season may bring better rates, and the walk into Rogoznica center takes about 15-20 minutes. Beach shoes are useful on the pebbles.

Breakfast coffee let me down, and the food selection felt a little repetitive. You could get good coffee at the pool bar and pastry bar, though. I also noticed construction materials left around the resort, which took away from the impression. The atmosphere was calm, the rooms were very spacious, and there was a great mix of pools along with a private beach set up with sunbeds and umbrellas. The location is excellent.

Mirela made us feel at home and went out of her way to find us a room when we needed somewhere to stay away from Split. We were two families, four people each, traveling with small children, and had happened to pass Perla Resort. It looked beautiful, and Mirela helped us book a room. We had a lovely finish to our Croatian vacation. The pools and beach area were great, and breakfast each morning was good. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The beach Primošten is close by and beautiful for families, definitely worth a visit. Hvala to everyone at Perla Resort. We’ll be back!
