The walk to the sea takes around 15 minutes at an easy pace, with about half of it through a lovely pine forest. The beaches nearby are mostly quiet, and the pebble sections are good for children, though there are a few more people there. Elsewhere along the coast it's rocky, but that wasn't an issue for us. The water is very clean, and you can swim without going far. There's another pine grove beside the beaches, with plenty of benches and bins, and the whole area is exceptionally clean and peaceful. We stayed at Mare Blu from August 19 to 27 for a family holiday, and everyone enjoyed it. The guesthouse itself is wonderfully quiet too. We hardly heard or saw the other guests, and the neighboring guesthouses seemed just as calm. Milica, the hostess, is a delightful woman. The air was easy to breathe even in the heat, with no mosquitoes and no excessive humidity. Our room had air conditioning. A shop is about five minutes away on foot. The selection and prices aren't anything special, but it has the essentials. LIDL takes around 15 minutes to walk to, while Rovinj's picturesque historic center is roughly 20 minutes away. We came away with very good memories of our stay.
