We found the VENEMA apartment quite clean and run by two lovely ladies, and I'd highly recommend it. It's comfortable and only five minutes from Rovinj's historic center. The downside is that it's in the pedestrian zone, so you can't drive right up to it, though parking is about 50 meters from the entrance. It's on the second floor, with no elevator, balcony, or terrace.

For around €320 for five days, the apartment was small but nice, and otherwise really clean. I spotted a few tiny dust bunnies in the bedroom straight away. The shower head doesn't sit properly on its pole and hangs awkwardly; once the water is on, the pressure pushes it back so far that water sprays out over the top. There are just three windows, two skylights and one regular one looking over other rooftops, but that was acceptable for the price.
