Casa Kaligari

A great host, a cobler, who can show you the city’s gastronomical, historical, and other secrets. It’s a wonderful place to stay if you want the authentic feel of old Rovinj.

Thank you for everything and for the warm hospitality. The hosts were very friendly, and the location was really good. See you next time!

I loved the central Rovinj location, the comfortable, beautifully decorated studios, and the super friendly, helpful hosts. But the noise was a lot: we heard everything the neighbors upstairs and downstairs did and said. There’s also a bar across from the apartments, so outside sounds carry in. Closing the shutters and windows helps a lot, and light sleepers should bring earplugs. The kitchen is pretty minimal if you actually plan to cook. There’s no extractor fan, the stove is old-fashioned, and cooking utensils are very limited.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of fresh options and traditional dishes at a nearby bar. The owner was cheerful and gave us good tips on places to visit, and everything was exceptionally clean. The room was lovely, but our shower leaked badly enough that the bathroom stayed very wet, so we had to lay towels down to catch the water. Without that problem, I’d have given it five stars. We still had a great stay and highly recommend it.
