I liked being able to eat on the little veranda, which has a table and works for anything from breakfast to dinner. The room has comfortable designer furniture and was clean. The bathroom is roomy, though it has no bidet, which Italians may miss. There’s no panoramic view, since the place sits between two villas.

There’s plenty of parking and the neighborhood is quiet, though the apartment is about 2.5 km from central Rovinj. It felt a bit cramped for four, but we mainly needed it for sleeping. The owner’s mother was kind, thoughtful, and helpful, and spoke some Italian, so we managed to understand one another. The owner was kind too and available whenever needed. The only real nuisance was the rubbish setup: there was just one bin despite the recycling rules, and we had to buy our own bags. Aside from that, the apartment has what you need, including a microwave, moka pot, cutlery, seasonings, WiFi, and TV. A comfortable, affordable choice, especially for younger travelers.

It’s quiet here, but too far from the center to walk. The rooms are lovely and spacious, and there’s a big balcony. The kitchen has a coffee maker and a two-burner stove, though no toaster.

The owners were helpful and welcoming, and the apartments are kept up well with all the comforts. Rovinj is 4 km away, and it’s about a five-minute drive to the sea.
