We had a great stay in a spacious apartment last September, and it was handy for exploring Rovinj. It had useful things like Wi-Fi and a washing machine, and we were on the second floor. The reason for the lower rating has nothing to do with the landlord: whoever lived on the top floor would play electric guitar very badly until quite late at night.

This is a basement apartment, with all the downsides: it's smelly, damp, dark, and moist. It's also very noisy, right beside a loud bar in the pedestrian area. If you're coming by car, this place isn't for you.

The room has new furnishings, but nobody mentions that it's downstairs in the basement. There's a musty smell and no natural light, and the window sits level with the street. You hear every footstep and everything at night, so sleeping is impossible. Being in a basement apartment means you're forced to spend all day on your feet.

We arrived a day early, and the apartment had a strange smell and old furniture. There's no microwave, and the mattress was so uncomfortable that it wasn't fit to sleep on. A bar across from the accommodation played loud music until morning, so we could hardly sleep.
