Guest House Jadro

A really nice place to stay.

The apartment has a stovetop, fridge-freezer, kettle and mini-oven, and the owner was friendly. Free parking right in front was handy, and the beaches are easy to get to from here. I would've liked different pillows and maybe blackout curtains in the bedroom. Otherwise, no complaints, it's great value for the money.

Everything was spotless, and the apartment feels new and modern. It's spacious, with a big terrace and balcony, large comfortable beds, air conditioning and all the appliances we needed. The owner was attentive and quickly sorted out anything we asked about. There's a playground beside the building, the sea is about five minutes away, and the city center takes around 20 minutes on foot.

We ended up finding another apartment in Rovinj and spent the rest of our vacation there. At €120 a day, Guest House Jadro was a never-again experience for us, and we gave it zero stars. Several things in the apartment were dirty, broken or unusable, including the stove, the shower and bathtub, and beds that wobbled, with some slats broken. The owners kept entering with their own keys without asking or giving notice, and didn't knock or ring, whether we were in or out. They even came into the living room with a duplicate key and repeatedly turned off the only small air conditioner there, sometimes when we'd only stepped out briefly. There was no safe, so we kept passports, cash, cards and other valuables in a living-room cabinet. To protect our things, we locked that room and carried the key with us. When we said the owner couldn't come into the apartment without our explicit permission during our rental, he stood threateningly close, gestured aggressively, and threatened to call the Croatian police and evict us.
