The clean towels and linen and the very good showers were a plus, and the terrace has a lovely sea view. The location is stunning, about ten minutes from the beach, but the apartment itself needs an update. There weren’t enough basics: mugs, a clothes airer, or bathroom bins. We found lots of dead flies on the floor, which the owner noticed but left us to deal with, and huge cobwebs were hanging from the high ceilings in several places. We arrived late to an unfriendly welcome. Our top-floor apartment was boiling, and no windows or shutters had been adjusted to cool it down. The only air conditioning was in the dining area, and we had to look up how to get it working. There was none in the bedrooms, so we barely slept. We asked for a fan the next day and were given one. In July or August, you might end up sleeping on the terrace.

There are a few free parking spaces, and WiFi is fast and free. A beach bar with live music from 8 p.m. is about 200 metres away. The place is clean and quiet, roughly 100 metres from the seaside, though it’s 3.5 km from the city center. There aren’t even some basic amenities, such as a teapot.

We’ve stayed here twice and are already looking forward to another visit. The rooms are well cared for and very clean, each with its own balcony. A lovely beach and a small shop are close by.
