Maistra Select Island Hotel Istra

We came by car, and the transport arrangements were great. The staff were really helpful with that. The hotel's setting is Rovinj's best if you enjoy nature, while the town is still only a quick 15 min boat ride straight to the centre. We were pleasantly surprised by how many sun loungers were available around the islands. It's a shame the hotel closes in low season. We can't wait to come again, thank you!

The island was beautiful, with lots to do and lovely facilities. There was plenty of food choice, and we enjoyed the meals. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the waiters kept things tidy, cleared plates quickly, and restocked. Our 6yo boy loved the mini disco and games with the children's entertainment team. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very well looked after. We had a lovely welcome and Luka surprised us with an upgrade to a suite. He was so helpful throughout, and even let us check out late so our little boy could have one more go at the Splash park in the sea. That made his holiday. It was our first stay, but one we'll remember. Thanks for a great time, we'll be back.

The hotel sits on a beautiful island, close to Rovinj but away from the crowds. Its surroundings and beaches are lovely, and there's plenty for kids of all ages to do. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful, and the service was perfect. The food was very good with a great choice for everyone. We'll definitely come back.

The setting is lovely and the hotel is fine, but I'd put it around 3+ stars rather than 4. The rooms are quite noisy and only partly renovated, while the food was okay but didn't feel like 4-star quality. The biggest disappointment was paying € 8,5K and then being unable to use the Spa for an hour on our last day because it was already 11am. Really?
