Residence Porta Antica

We stayed in room #3 again, just like last year, and it was lovely to have a view from the room. It's always good to be back in Rovinj. The best restaurants are all within a five-minute walk, and there are good shops nearby too. The ferries to Santa Katarina und Santa Andrija leave just across the street, so the town's best beaches are only a few steps away. Definitely recommend it.

Our room, number 4, had a spiral staircase leading up to the bedroom, and it was clean, beautiful, and full of charm and history. The host picked us up and brought us to the hotel, helped with the luggage, and shared suggestions. They greeted us with friendly good mornings each day, and were so genuine and helpful. The location right by the water made it a short walk to everything. Such a great spot. This was our first trip to Croatia and our first stop, and I plan to come back and stay here again!

We rented two studio apartments at the harbor and loved them, they were perfect for us. Claudia was a fantastic host. She recommended two restaurants and a boat tour, and we tried all of them. Everything was outstanding. Our trip before Rovinj had been pretty stressful, but once we arrived, Claudia made things feel right again. We call her Claudia Darling. Be sure to visit the steepled Church of St Euphemia at the top of the hill in the town center. The story is about a young girl tortured and killed for her beliefs in 300 AD. Her sarcophagus is near the front right side of the altar, along with paintings of her.

Claudia and Petra were gracious hosts who helped us with parking and recommendations. We can't wait to return. Our room, with its three large windows looking out over the port, was absolutely perfect. The bedding was comfortable, the sitting area had plenty of space with a sink, fridge, and cooktop, and everything was extremely clean. Highly recommend.
