For independent, adaptable travelers, this studio is a handy base in Rovinj’s historic center. It’s comfortable and clean, and the host is very helpful. The pier in the main square is less than a five-minute walk away, making it convenient if you arrive by hydrofoil. The price is below Croatian standards, especially for the “pearl of Istria.” I recommend it to “smart” travelers.

The studio was clean, the Wi-Fi worked fine, and the service was friendly. But for the price, I expected better, even in Rovinj. It’s close to the port and a busy tourist street, though getting there means using a very narrow, quaint but unkempt alley. Inside, it felt unwelcoming: sparse furnishings, two small windows facing the dark alley, and a double bed pushed against the wall.
