Villa Dobravac

Breakfast became one of the best parts of our stay: fresh bread, eggs made to order, fruit, cheeses, meats, juices, and coffee. We looked forward to it each morning and were full for the rest of the day. We also tasted wine with Luka, had a great time, and liked it enough to buy seven bottles. Villa Dobravac is a winery as well as a place to stay. We spent three nights and three days here while touring Europe, and the staff made it hard to leave. Luka and everyone else were helpful and friendly from check-in through check-out, and seemed happy to have us. Our room had two levels, a queen bed, and a sofa bed for the three of us. It was comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and a large balcony overlooking a beautiful view. Town is a short walk away, with lots of restaurants to choose from. Luka and the others gave us good wine recommendations. I'd recommend this villa to anyone visiting Rovinj. Five stars from me!

The walk into Rovinj was easy for us, even in our 60s, and there are places to park if you want to explore nearby hill towns like Motovun. The hotel is above town rather than in the center, but there are a few restaurants just minutes away on foot, including Konoba Nonna Marija and Veranda on the Sea, handy if you arrive late and don't want to go into the center for dinner. We spent five nights there in September and left feeling like a member of the family. From the cozy patio and the wine tasting room, you get a wonderful view of Rovinj. Our modern room was well equipped, with a comfortable bed, a window facing the town, and a bathroom much larger than most we've seen in Europe. They make their own wines on site, and we enjoyed all the local varieties we tried. Luca, the host and tasting room manager, greeted us warmly each day and talked with us about the wines and the area. He and the rest of the staff deserve credit for their hospitality. When we're back in Rovinj, we'll stay at Villa Dobravac Wine Estate again.

We stayed in a duplex apartment with a lovely sea view, and there was parking right beside the villa. The city center was only a short walk away. Everything felt pleasant and beautiful, the staff were kind and accommodating, and the place was clean. Everyone made an effort to make sure we were happy, and the price was just right. Their wine knowledge was impressive too. The breakfast selection was a little limited, but we’ll definitely return. Villa Dobravac was our favorite accommodation in Rovinj during Easter 2025.

A relaxing evening here means great drinks and good company. The bar has a terrific range of wines, and the bartender's enthusiasm and knowledge made the recommendations feel personal. The team is caring and friendly, and really goes out of its way to make you feel welcome. Vila Dobrovac is a must for wine lovers visiting Rovinj.
