Villa Dolores

We arrived to find chilled drinks waiting for us, a lovely touch from our warm and welcoming hosts. The apartment is tastefully furnished and in a peaceful spot, which made for a relaxing holiday. It has everything you could need, nothing was missing.

We stayed for a week in week 31 of 2024 and paid around €950 for an apartment with a small garden, terrace, and outdoor BBQ. It’s an easy enough walk to Rovinj’s center, and there’s secure covered parking. The space is tight if two cars are parked there, so maneuvering can be tricky. The owner was friendly and helpful. Inside, everything was very clean and tidy. The kitchen/living area has a dining table and bench for four, plus a large fridge with freezer, air conditioning, small dishwasher, microwave, stovetop, and toaster for morning bread. The spacious bedroom has a large wardrobe. In the generous bathroom there’s a corner shower, sink, toilet, washing machine, hairdryer, clothes steamer, and fluffy towels. Dishwasher tablets, sunflower oil, salt, pepper, and paper towels were all supplied. Lidl and other supermarkets are nearby. Mosquito repellent is useful on the terrace, and you can find it around the village. There’s also an outdoor drying rack for towels and other things. Exterior shutters darken the windows. The apartment was lovely and spotless, and the landlady was friendly. I’d happily recommend it.

The welcome was really friendly, and the apartment was clean, nice, and dog-friendly. Town is about 10 minutes away, while the beach takes 15-30 minutes on foot, or less by bike. Highly recommended, and otherwise a really cool place. Parking was the one hassle for us. Our Mercedes Vito barely fit beside the other large car in the driveway, a Peugeot SUV.
