Sea-view Retreat, Kastel

That garden was amazing, full of flowers and fresh vegetables, and the gym was really well equipped. We also had good enough internet for video calls and long Zoom meetings, and getting to Split centre was easy, with the train station only a 7-minute walk away. We stayed in the Sunshine apartment at Nikola’s place for four weeks. It was comfortable and really nice, with GREAT views. Waking up to them and watching the sunset from the balcony each evening was such a treat. Nikola and his family made the biggest impression on us. He, his mom, sister and aunts were so kind and helpful, always checking if we needed anything. They offered a ride when we checked in and a lift at checkout, and took us to the supermarket for a big shop since we didn’t have a car. Can’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much, Nikola! 😊🙏🏻

The view is beautiful, and it’s a nice neighborhood. Just keep in mind it’s quite a climb back up the hill: walking down took us 30 minutes, and getting back up took 45. We stayed one night after flying into Split, before starting our hiking trip. It’s a comfortable, clean little place, especially suited to a couple. The hosts were great, and it looked like the listing.

The apartment had everything we needed, and the service was outstanding. The host was splendid, and especially the mother of the two hosts was lovely, bringing us fresh vegetables from her garden. For the area around Split, I’d say this is by far the best place to stay.

My partner and I spent four days here and had a really good time. The photos don’t show how lovely it is in person. The garden was lovely, and the host was so welcoming, inviting us to pick whatever we wanted from it.
