The service was warm and welcoming, with great help and advice. The food was fresh, local and well balanced. The veal was tender and full of flavor, and the scampi and mushroom risotto was incredible. The pistachio soufflé with ice cream and a hint of rosemary was out of this world. CUJ house Malvasia is always a good choice if you’re not after a bottle of wine. Highly recommend 👌
The setting is nice, and the food is mostly okay, depending on what they have that day. But the portions are laughably small. You’ll leave hungry unless you order double of everything, and even then you pay full price despite the small servings.

The interior is refined and comfortable, and the atmosphere consistently feels premium. If you’re visiting Opatija or Rijeka, this is the first place to check. It’s an elegant, reliable dining stop that offers strong value and delivers consistently.
The food was spot on, and the price felt fair for the quality. The waiters were helpful and easy to talk to, so five stars from me. I haven't stayed in the rooms, so I can't comment on them.
We went with an Insight Vacations tour while traveling around Croatia, and the meal was well worth it. Being by the sea, we chose fish. The seabass was very fresh, served over spinach, potato, and carrots, and everything worked together so well that I finished the whole plate, wax paper aside. Before that, there was a hot, light lentil and vegetable soup with just the right flavors, which suited me since I love soup. Dessert came with a yellow sauce and was simply divine, though I couldn't tell you what it was. I'd love to return if I get the chance. The locals are lucky to have this place nearby.
