MAIORA Luxury Island Suites

We spent eight nights at Maiora, Sali, in July 2022, and found it a peaceful little retreat with a spectacular view over the marina, sea and islands. The design is both beautiful and practical, and the apartments are laid out well. There are four of them sharing the pool area and a cool, fresh infinity pool. Even with other guests around, our family of four always had enough room and privacy, and it stayed peaceful. The building is well insulated, so we didn't hear noise from inside or outside. We visited during a hot spell above 30, and the air conditioning worked smoothly. We also made good use of the well-equipped training room. The apartments sit at the end of Sali's marina, with a place just outside to jump into the sea. I recommend a morning swim there before the rest of the family wakes up. Restaurants line the marina and are an easy walk from the apartment. We ate out every night and never went to the same one twice. Maritimo is a nice cocktail bar, and there’s also a supermarket and pharmacy around the harbour. Sali is a small, picturesque town with friendly people and a good vibe. Slow your walking pace to match the town, and it’s easy to settle into holiday mode. Telascica Natural Park is close by, and we went there to snorkel. Snorkelling at Dugi Otok was the best I’ve experienced in the Mediterranean. We brought our Tesla on the ferry from Zadar to Brbinj at Dugi Otok, and the trip went smoothly. I recommend booking tickets online ahead of departure. Our host, David, was caring, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. It’s a peaceful, special place for a holiday getaway, hideaway, or whatever kind of escape you need.

The host was so friendly and easy to communicate with, which made the stay great. For apartments like these, the price is very fair.

The location, staff, design, comfort and equipment were all top-notch.
