Our son wanted to go back to Maro Club every day, and the childcare team always made him feel welcome, safe and entertained with lots of activities. The staff were kind, caring and full of positive energy. You can tell they enjoy their work, and that makes a big difference. For families with children, the club was a real highlight. Highly recommended. Humanity occasionally gets things right. This was one of those rare cases.

Our children had a fantastic holiday. Ours was okay, but the value for money wasn't there, and this is the first family trip since having kids where we're not considering a return. The staff and childcare programme were so good that, if the drinks, upkeep and value matched them, the resort could be close to perfect. We spent a week in a Family Junior Suite at Valamar Tamaris. Hotels aren't new to us: between work travel and our family's summer and winter holidays, we've stayed in enough four- and five-star places to have a reasonable sense of what different price levels should offer. The people were excellent throughout, from reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff to the Super Maro Club team, especially Milica and Matheus. They were friendly, professional and highly motivated. The Valamar App was genuinely useful, with good activity schedules and practical information. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good, and the buffet chefs and restaurant team deserve credit for keeping things running smoothly through the daily crowds. The takeaway lunch package for departure day was a great idea, especially for families driving home. The drinks and room upkeep were the weak points. At this price for a four-star all-inclusive resort, I expect recognisable beverage brands, but nearly everything included came from dispensers: soft drinks, juice, cocktails and coffee. Quality was poor. The orange soda tasted like sweet sparkling water, and a Mojito barely tasted like a Mojito. Good coffee at the bar cost extra. We only found the simple black filter coffee at breakfast near the end of the trip, and it was much better than the machine coffee. Room 207, the pool area and public changing rooms all looked as though maintenance had been put off: torn upholstery, damaged corners, old sealant, stained mirrors, missing light covers and obvious patch repairs around the pools. None of it was dramatic on its own, but together it gave the impression that refurbishment had been delayed for a while. The all-inclusive offer also felt stretched. Many activities, beach sunbeds and some family attractions cost extra, even though that was technically stated in the T&Cs. The charges added up quickly for a family of four and took away quite a lot from the all-inclusive promise.

The location and our rooms were genuinely nice, and I can't complain about the rooms themselves. I came from Belgium with my school for our year-end trip. I'm very sensitive to cold and like the indoors warm, but the heating didn't work. Only cold air came out. I asked at the lobby for help and went back politely several times over three days, but it still wasn't fixed before we left. We got sick from the cold, which made it even more frustrating. For a four-star hotel, I think that was very poor service. We paid for our stay, and being a school group from another country shouldn't mean we deserve different treatment from other guests. I don't know whether that happened, but that's how it felt. It's really disappointing that nothing was done and we had to go home sick, with stuffy noses and itchy throats.

We've holidayed at Valamar Tamaris many times. Martina did a really great job in service last year, and she's doing just as well in the Lounge Bar this year. Always friendly and busy. Don't let her go, she's one of the best in service! 👍👍👍🫶🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!!

We paid a lot for an off-season stay, and the quality and service just weren't acceptable. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'm not sure I'd risk coming back even in high season. The food barely changed from day to day. It was the same options over and over, and after a couple of days it was hard to enjoy meals. Drinks were often out of stock, including basic things you'd expect at an all-inclusive bar. It felt like they'd stopped caring once peak season was over. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, so getting a good night's sleep was difficult. For what we paid, the all-inclusive experience fell far short.
