Hotel Rotondo

The room itself was comfortable and nicely furnished, even though it was in the annex across the road. But the breakfast was disappointing: mediocre food, and the coffee machine only filled half a cup. Couples also have to sit at long shared tables, which feels like a school canteen. The pool is much smaller than the pictures suggest, and there weren't any tea or coffee facilities in the room. I wouldn't say this is a four-star hotel, and it wasn't worth what we paid.

The staff were quite nice, but the bathroom in our separate building across the road had mold, a terrible smell, and ant colonies. We told management, and a manager sprayed insect repellent in parts of the bathroom and bedroom. The ants kept coming, so that didn't fix it. I'm very upset that we have to spend 10 days in these conditions. The spa center advertised by the hotel isn't operating, and massages are only available after September, when the therapist arrives, near the end of the season. This is nowhere near what we expected from a four-star hotel.

The price doesn't match the quality. By 20:00 at dinner, nearly all the food had already been eaten, and breakfast was pretty sad, apart from the tasty croissants. The wellness area wasn't working when we arrived. Our room looked like something from the 1980s, the bathroom had mold, and the sink wouldn't drain. We asked them to fix it, but they didn't get to it until the evening of the next day. Two stars at most.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was good. The room was clean and nice, though it smelled awful. Opening the window meant putting up with a lot of road noise. To get to the wellness area, we had to cross the street to another building. The pool was a bit dirty, with insects on the wall, and the sauna was switched off, so basically unusable.
