Really great!

We spent five days in the upstairs apartment and loved the view, the clean pool, and the private path down to the beach, which takes only two minutes. Dom gave us a warm welcome, and the apartment was clean and well equipped. They left us water and a bottle of wine on arrival, and there was Nespresso coffee too. It was fantastic. The one drawback is that you need a car to get to a supermarket or bakery. Otherwise, I'd book without hesitation.

There were some real positives here: it's a new complex with parking right in front, a lovely pool area, and a well-kept green garden. The sea view was beautiful, the terrace or balcony had comfortable chairs, and the sea was only a 50-meter walk away. There’s also a little café around the corner under olive trees and a small playground with swings and other things for children. The Filipino cleaner was very nice and helped with translation, and there was a mid-stay clean with fresh linens. Our experience with the owners was much less pleasant. They live on the ground floor, and our first greeting was essentially, “Hello, how are you? We still need your passport and want to sort out the payment.” The owners themselves don’t speak English or German, though he smiles and greets you politely. Their son handles friendly email correspondence in English, and an acquaintance who speaks some English sometimes helps on site. Payment was a major frustration. For a direct booking, after sending a deposit by bank transfer, we were expected to transfer the rest before arrival or pay cash immediately on arrival. Who wants to send €1500 abroad before seeing or staying in the apartment? Cash-only payment feels outdated, and card payment wasn’t possible. The landlords insisted on cash at the property. A bank transfer during our stay was possible only after repeated negotiation, even though the money was available in the account and could be sent online in a day. There was mainstream radio with commercials playing by the pool all day, so it wasn’t peaceful. The pool loungers were worn out, leaving you lying on the metal slats. The furniture was low quality: IKEA pieces painted white already looked neglected and weren’t suited to professional holiday use. Sound insulation in the apartment was poor, though luckily the other guests were only there briefly during our stay. The fabric divider on the first-floor terrace squeaked constantly in the wind. Opening it stopped the noise, but that wouldn’t be possible or pleasant if the neighboring apartment were occupied. The kitchen was very small and minimally equipped, with only six of each kind of cutlery and dishes, so the dishwasher had to run twice a day or more and still didn’t clean well. There was only a two-burner stove, no oven, and no coffee maker. The single beds were very narrow, and both bedrooms were very small. The shower leaked, and its faucet was actually a bathtub faucet, leaving no room to move around while showering. We also found ants on the bathroom and kitchen floors. The house’s front door key was hard to turn, and each time we had to figure out which of the two keys belonged to which apartment door. For the high price, the poor quality and cheap furnishings weren’t justified. The same standard price applied whether four adults and two children stayed or, for example, two adults and one child.

Just judging from the photos for now: it looks very nice. I’ll share my own experience later.
