We weren’t staying at the hotel, but its owner came down to the beach with a shovel and confronted us for sitting on his chair. The chairs were near the water and other people were using them too. There were no signs saying they belonged to the hotel or anyone else. Croatia doesn’t have private beaches. He yelled at my wife and me while holding the shovel in a threatening way, and only stopped when he realised I was Croatian, not a tourist. My wife was extremely upset, so we left the beach straight away. He went on about being a big deal in the area and owning many properties. I apologised and said he could put up a sign if it was private property.

We spent 16 days here and felt at home the whole time. The hotel and room were magnificent, with incredible views, wonderful service, and a warm family atmosphere. Every morning in Croatia felt like there were two suns, thanks to you. Your good humour and lovely smiles made our holiday unforgettable. Leaving was so sad, but we’re taking away beautiful memories. The best hotel in Croatia, and especially in the world.

There’s a small dock nearby where you can catch a boat to Trogir, and the beach has a great restaurant and cocktail bar. The restaurant’s balcony also looks out over the sea. The hotel offers free parking, and our clean room had comfortable beds, a lovely sea view, and quiet, properly working AC. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast could use more drink options, especially juices, and the coffee could be better.

Getting down to the water means walking some hills, but it’s worth it once you arrive. Trogir’s old town is also a short commute away. My husband and I loved our stay. The owners were incredibly gracious, the view was second to none, and the place was perfect for us.
