The owners sorted out our pool trouble within the first two days really quickly, and even treated us to a meal to make up for it. The house was great, and I highly recommend it. The country and its people are fantastic.

We had a good holiday in this small, pleasant house, and everything we needed was there. The kitchen had a toaster, juicer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, coffee maker, TV, and Wi-Fi, all working. Outside there was a gas and charcoal grill, another fridge, a clean lit pool with loungers (no cushions), a sauna, and a seating area. There's a reserved parking spot right in front. The regional-style house has stone floors downstairs and parquet upstairs, two bedrooms with their own bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower, air conditioning upstairs, and big comfortable beds. It's in a village, with Porec, Vrsar, and the Lim Canal 10 to 15 km away. The closest supermarket, pharmacy, and ATM are in Sveti Lovrec, 3.5 km away. Porec has shops such as DM and Kaufland. By car, it's easy to reach Lim Canal, Porec, Rijeka, Pula, and Novigrad for swimming, relaxing, boat trips, activities, or shopping. There are good taverns nearby, though you need a car to get to them. The neighbors were friendly, and we greeted them in the local language. But most have dogs, and the one next door barked nonstop from 5:30 every morning. We had a dog with us who joined in, but the noise was still annoying. The dogs sometimes bark on and off, then one starts and the others join in. So it won't suit light sleepers, people who want total quiet, or anyone who likes to sleep in. There were also plenty of bugs. We regularly found millipedes and other crawling insects in the bathroom, plus two small black scorpions with painful stings. Run the bathroom water when you arrive and plug the drains, keep the bathroom doors shut, and the bedrooms should stay quiet. Geckos dart around the garden, and we even had a snake visit once. The flies were a nuisance, so bring a swatter. We didn't get bitten by any mosquitoes. It's the countryside, and we could live with that. If noise or bugs are a dealbreaker, this probably isn't the place for you, but if you can accept those quirks, you'll have a great stay. We'll come back sometime. We didn't meet the landlord. The key was in a lockbox outside by the gate, and the code came by email. I've uploaded pictures of the lighting, since there are already plenty of daytime photos.

The owner was very friendly, but the location felt too remote for us. The accommodation was okay. The pool seemed a little small, and with air conditioning in just one bedroom, we had sleepless summer nights.

The nicest holiday villa I've ever seen. Antique-style decor, peace and quiet, and just GREAT.
