Villa Nina

I called to book the tennis court, following the website’s instructions. The man who answered refused once he found out we were from another town. Awful service.

We’ve stayed here before and came back again. It’s a lovely place, with a great apartment and kind hosts. Everything is close by and well organized, even in Statigrad.

Nina, Nick, and Lilly made us feel at home from the start. They’re fantastic hosts. We loved the simple, clean apartment, which had everything we needed, including things for cooking. It’s a great fit if you’re after peace and quiet, uncrowded free beaches, and greenery, while still being near the sea and main amenities. We stayed for a week and had a lovely time. Highly recommended!

The area is lovely, with beautiful sea and mountain views, and the rooms are standard for Croatia. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach. What made our stay unpleasant was the landlady’s handling of the air conditioning. It was included in the accommodation price, but she came into our rooms to turn it off. After we’d gone to the beach for two hours one afternoon, hoping to cool the room, she confronted me there and said we shouldn’t use the AC at all because it wasn’t that warm. Her manner was arrogant, and it ruined our day. When she realized we weren’t leaving, we didn’t see her again for three days before departure. The website also says bikes are available to rent, but the one they eventually dug out was old and had no brakes or derailleur. They still asked €10 for it. Use of the court for guests also costs €10 per hour.
