The room had a small kitchen area, fridge, kettle, shower, and a very nice balcony. While we got settled, my wife went for a run and I checked out the beach and dock. It was an ideal spot, with a lovely sunset. I took a few photos and sent them to friends. We drove into Croatia from Slovenia, stopping at a few places along the way, and arrived in the late afternoon. Google Maps took us right to a parking spot in front of the hotel. Before I’d even seen the room, the owners offered me rakija, the local drink. We sat and chatted for a while over a little booze. I’d stay here again. It was one of the nicer places on our European tour.

A good base for trips to nearby Paklenica NP, and good value for money in the low season. There’s a small private jetty right by the sea and a veranda overlooking Pag Island. It’s especially suited to keen swimmers or anyone who likes being close to the water rather than having a proper beach.

We were offered local drinks when we arrived, and the German-speaking older couple who run the place were good hosts. The rooms are small and fairly old, but each has a balcony and there’s a private beach. All in all, it was good.

We had clear, friendly contact with the owner by phone, while his very friendly parents handled the check-in and local service at the apartment. The apartment is right on the waterfront, with clean rooms and all the equipment we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the new windows kept out the sound of cars passing on the road 100m behind. The air conditioning worked well, though it was a bit noisy at night.

The direct path to the sea is breathtaking! The apartment was better than I expected, and the owners were really, really friendly. Staff were helpful and cleaned daily when needed. The wifi was sooo erratic, though, so you’re better off going outside to watch the water and crabs. :)
