The garden and pool make this a lovely spot for kids, and it’s peaceful while still being close to Plitvice lakes. Mile is a fantastic host. He only speaks Croatian, but he’ll happily chat and make you feel welcome. If you need anything, he’ll sort it out.

There’s lots of outdoor space, and it’s a good-value house for a family. It could use a bit more care.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the house is very well equipped.

We stayed at Mr. Mile's in our campervan. There’s a bathroom and toilet, though walking through the door gave me a bit of a 90s flashback. That didn’t bother me. The owner is charming and doesn’t speak English, but even with the language barrier he pointed us to a great restaurant. If you’re after peace, a pleasant atmosphere, and a ride to the lakes, this place is a great fit. Anyone expecting luxury for 30 euros may be disappointed.
