Apartments Villa Irene

After a week of traveling around Croatia and eating at some top restaurants, we were glad we chose Irene's home-cooked dinner at Villa Irene. It was a four-course meal that felt Michelin grade, and you could tell how much care and love Irene put into every dish. Damir had messaged us the night before to check whether we'd like dinner, since Irene prepares breakfast and dinner for guests. Our family of four, including our two grown children, had come to Plitvice National Park before arriving at the villa. Room 5 had a hot tub, where we relaxed under the stars after dinner. Breakfast the next morning on our little veranda was lovely too. Irene was the sweetest host, and every part of our stay was wonderful. Highly recommended.

The beds were amazing, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the place was beautiful and peaceful. The night sky was breathtaking. Damir and Irene are among the warmest, most caring hosts we've met in all our years of traveling.

The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and we liked the style. Irene and Damir were very friendly, and the dinner they made was delicious, all handmade and really tasty, though not especially cheap. You can only pay in cash, with no credit cards, but we knew that beforehand and it wasn't a problem for us. We had a wonderful stay at their villa and highly recommend it. 💚

The rooms have a stove and all the cookware and dishes you'd need if you want to make your own meals. We loved the balcony views of the mountains and having breakfast delivered there each morning. Irene was a phenomenal host, and breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Most of the food was homemade, and she even shared the recipe for her delicious chocolate cake. Two nights didn't feel like enough. We hope to return someday!
