Apartments Katica

The sea view from the balcony was magnificent, and the awning made it a lovely spot to sit. We had no trouble parking, and the beach, shops, and old town were all within walking distance. The apartment was just as lovely as in the Airbnb photos, clean and well kept. There were plenty of clean dishes, and the bed was comfortable with light duvets that suited the summer weather. The owners weren't there on our arrival day, but sorting things out over the phone went smoothly. Wi-Fi was a little slow, though on holiday I didn't really need to be on my phone anyway.

We booked through Booking.com, but when we arrived the hotel was empty and nobody seemed to know we were coming. A neighbor who lived next door took us in. She only spoke Croatian and couldn't reach the manager, despite calling several times. She showed us to a room, then the manager arrived about 15 minutes later and said staying there would cost an extra 10 kuna. We said no, so she moved us into a smaller room without offering any compensation. The Booking.com listing showed the hotel with a terrace and sun loungers, but we had neither. I strongly advise against staying here.

The higher up you stay, the better the view of Krk. It's quick to get down to the sea. A garden would be nice for the ground floor, and for floors above the 3rd.
