Amadria Park Hotel Ivan

The food choices were varied and everything we tried was delicious. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. They were always smiling and ready to help, and their motivation felt genuinely warm. Very nice.

We barely left the residence during our 8 days there, and couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. We only went out for 2 days. The food across the different restaurants was top-tier, among the best I’ve had, even compared with Michelin restaurants. We’d expected the hotel to be bland and thought we’d need to head into Šibenik to enjoy ourselves, but that wasn’t the case at all. The location was great. The partnered taxi service was quick, friendly, and used luxurious cars. Staff were friendly too, though I felt they could have engaged more with guests. That’s just my personal opinion.

The suite came with restaurant reservations and cabana access, both of which failed several times. Cabanas were simply first-come, first-served, with no system. Pool service felt chaotic too. I saw bird droppings wiped off sunbeds with a towel, then the towel rinsed in the pool. That was unacceptable. We booked a sea-view suite hoping for some peace, but music from the bar could be heard from bed every night until midnight. We complained more than once and got conflicting answers without any solution. On the night of a wedding in the hotel garden, the assistant manager had promised the music would be quieter but didn’t tell us the event was happening. We couldn’t sleep again, and the night receptionist was rude and dismissive when we asked to change rooms. The offered “compensation” was lemonade, which was only water with lemon juice, no ice, sugar, garnish, or straw. It was undrinkable. The place itself looks nice, the food was good, and some staff were kind. But poor management, communication, and basic service standards made the stay deeply disappointing. As a hotel general manager myself, I tried to approach it objectively. The general manager remained invisible and wouldn’t speak with us, even after we requested a meeting. It has potential, but isn’t worth its price or rating right now.

There’s plenty to do around the site, though activities cost extra. Mini golf was €15.50 for an adult hotel guest, and nearby there’s a beach, where a lounger costs €10, or you can bring a towel and find a spot. Restaurants include tapas, olive garden, and bongos, and the shop on the camping site had everything we needed. Bus number 5 stops outside the hotel and costs €1.50 one way to visit Sibenik. Hotel Ivan itself is lovely, set within Amadria park. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help. Breakfast had lots of choice, including freshly cooked eggs and omelettes, hot food like pancakes, bacon, and sausages, Mediterranean cold meats, breads, pastries, fruit, and more. Our comfortable room was made up daily by friendly staff. There aren’t balconies, but there’s nice outdoor seating by the bar. The pool has plenty of loungers and hotel towels, plus complimentary sparkling wine and a slice of watermelon. We had an early flight, and they packed us a lunch with a sandwich, fruit, crisps, nuts, a cookie, and water. I really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it. It was a memorable holiday.
