All in all, it was a very pleasant, positive stay if you want to feel like a wealthy Czechoslovak or Polish family on holiday in the 80s. We arrived late at night and the house owner welcomed us warmly, very politely and in a friendly, approachable way. The rooms have an old rustic Yugoslav modern look, with a beautiful view. There's no TV, since those didn't exist when the house was built. The beds and mattresses are elaborate and airy. Upstairs there are four rooms and two shared bathrooms, all neat and decorated with beautiful tiles in the neo style that was around sometime in the 70s.

The owners are elderly and have physical limitations, but they try hard, which I appreciated. The woman was very nice, though I hardly saw my husband. The house needs renovation, but the room and bed were clean. There are two toilets, a bathtub and a shower, plus a big garden and balconies. The kitchen has a large table, cups, plates, cutlery, pots, gas and electric stoves, an oven, and two refrigerators. The location is very good: the beach is 300 meters down the street, with free showers, and there's a ferry to the island opposite. A store is on the corner, and a bakery and two restaurants are 200 meters away. With a shared bathroom, cleanliness is relative, but at that price you can clean it yourself.

For one night at a fair price, I really liked this place. We stopped here on our 20-hour drive, and the lady waited up for us until late. She speaks only her native language but is kind and manages to make herself understood. The house is large, with the rooms upstairs. It's simple and spartan, with vintage furnishings and the things that come with that. Some reviews call it old and dirty, but that's not entirely true. The sheets and towels may be faded with age, yet they smell freshly washed.
