Hostel Scala

For 40 euros a night during peak season, Scala is a reasonable choice, and I hope the A/C gets fixed soon. During our three-night stay it wasn’t working, and nobody came to repair it. They offered us a fan, but with daytime temperatures of 36 degrees and nights at 28, it didn’t help. I was also a little disappointed to find the Scala cafe and restaurant closed when we arrived. I’d liked the idea of being able to come downstairs for coffee or a bite to eat. The pool area is pleasant for breakfast or relaxing. Our private room looked just like the photos, and we had secure parking in the private garage across from the hostel for an extra 7 euros per day. It’s an affordable place right in the city centre. Despite the name, it isn’t only for young people, there were guests of different ages, including families with children.

Late one night, I had a problem with another guest in my room. I called a staff member, and they dealt with it right away. The team was excellent, and the hostel itself is beautiful, modern, quiet, and comfortable. Definitely the best hostel I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!

I liked how private it felt, much more so than a regular hostel, and it almost felt like staying in a hotel. There’s a lovely cafe downstairs with really good coffee too. It may not suit people who want to socialize, but it’s a great place to stay.

We needed somewhere to stay for one night after a really stressful event interrupted our vacation. The staff were so understanding, kind, and helpful, which made everything easier to deal with. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with plenty of hot water and a good internet connection. It was exactly what we needed, and the location worked well too. We could reach everything we needed the next morning on foot. We warmly recommend this place!
