The balcony view is lovely and looks like the photos. The parking situation, though, means you can’t even stop to unload or pick up your bags and drive away. You have to carry everything you need for 10-15 minutes on foot along hillside streets. At check-in, the host warned us that he sleeps downstairs and needs to sleep after 22:00, so guests have to keep quiet.

We only booked one night at HRGA and really wished we’d planned to stay longer. The owners were welcoming and easygoing, and had no problem letting us check out a little later. Their adorable, playful little dog kept making us smile. The shared bathroom wasn’t an issue for us at all, and it was modern and very clean, like the rest of the accommodation. The location seemed perfect, only a few minutes’ walk from the old part of the city, with a breathtaking balcony view. The place was clean, well cared for, and convenient. We booked just a few nights ahead and found the price very reasonable. Hope we can come back someday.

The rooms are basic, though the beds are good. But honestly, I paid for air conditioning and there isn’t any, and I’m working right now without internet or Wi-Fi. Three rooms share one small bathroom, so six or seven people are trying to use it at once. Getting to the house means walking a quarter mile uphill, then climbing more than 100 steps. That could bring on a stroke, it’s really not for the faint-hearted.

The owner is nice, and their little dog may be the friendliest ever. The shared bathroom is a downside. The place is up a hill, but handy for reaching the forts.
