Bokun Apartments II

We were meant to check out at 10 a.m., after arriving at the apartment at 5 a.m. following a wedding. By around 9, we could hear someone trying to force their way in. There was another attempt, and when I opened the door at about 9:50, two cleaning women were there with mops and brooms to “remind” us it was 10 and we had to leave. The owner was terribly rude, and the payment rules changed when we arrived. For parking, you have to drive into the yard, pay 6e per hour, and then you only get a card for free parking because it’s behind a ramp 🙃. The owner didn’t even come to collect the money, just asked us to leave it on the table. We were there for literally five hours, and I’ve never been treated so badly.

The room and living area connect to the kitchen, with only a curtain between them. Cleanliness wasn’t great, and there weren’t many dishes. The staff were so unkind that I’ve never experienced guests being treated this way anywhere. There was no information in the apartment about leaving it for room cleaning. On the fourth day, I asked reception when our towels would be changed and trash emptied. They said towels were changed every three days, though each of us had only been given one large and one small towel. At check-in we got one key, and were told someone would bring a spare that day, but it never came. When we asked again, they said there was no spare and told my roommate and me to leave the key under the doormat for each other, saying nobody would break in. I asked who’d be responsible for my things if anything was stolen. They told me to call in five minutes, then said they’d bring another key on Monday. Until then, we were supposed to leave our key at reception, a few minutes’ walk away. For that price, it’s better to pick a hotel.

I’d only stay here for two days at most, it doesn’t suit a longer visit. The room has a small fridge, hazardous stairs, low ceilings on the second floor, no doors between levels, and no windows. You also have to leave while cleaning takes place, only between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m. Some lights don’t work, the faucet is huge for the small bathroom sink, and there’s just one key for four people. The safe doesn’t work either, and the Wi-Fi gets very weak in the evenings. Highly recommend it!
