Vila Riva Apartments

The villa is handsome and well presented, with its development done sensitively. Service was low-key but efficient. There's a small, nice pool with a sunbathing area, and the comfortable first-floor balconies are good for sitting outside or reading, with views across the bay. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice. The kitchenette in the studio apartment was a little disappointing, though it worked. Access around the bay is easy and level, and Dubrovnik is 40 minutes away by bus. We'd stay again for a quiet break.

Slano is beautiful and very quiet, a good choice if you want peace. There are only two restaurants, so the options are limited. We liked Kolarin better than Maestral for the wider menu, portions and friendlier staff. You can book buses to Dubrovnik, Split, Bosnia and Montenegro through Flixbus, or take the Libertas bus service. Our room was excellent, spacious, comfortable and well equipped for self-catering. Room 8 opens straight onto a large balcony over the harbour and bay. The staff were friendly and helpful: they let us keep the room for an extra hour, then offered us another place to wait for our airport transfer. Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the gardens and pool area were beautiful. We'd gladly stay again at Vila Riva Apartments. Thank you, Vila Riva, for a wonderful stay.

The pool was nice, and the housekeepers were helpful and friendly. Great place in Slano. The street can get a bit busy and noisy during the day. With a small child and pushchair, I'd choose a ground-floor room.

We loved having that view to wake up to every morning, and the site team were lovely. The boat noise can be an issue, but the stay is worth it. There are restaurants, bars and a lovely bakery close by, plus the bus is only a short stroll away. So much to love about our time here.
