It felt very homely, and the couple running the place treated me like family. You’re staying in a spare room in their apartment, but it’s nicely fitted out with a little sink, stovetop, good bathroom, and air conditioning. They speak some functional English, though knowing a bit of Croat or Slav would help with communication. I was given a can of pivo when I arrived, which was a nice touch. The hosts messaged me through Booking with directions to meet at the restaurant across the road. If you reach the little courtyard Google Maps points to, look for the door in the far right corner and head upstairs. The Jukić apartment plaque is on the door, though it’s easy to miss. If a family-style stay is what you’re after, this worked great for me. Someone wanting more of a hotel experience might prefer somewhere else.

The owners were kind and helpful, and the room was great. The beach isn’t far, though it wasn’t the nicest one. Diocletian palace is less than five minutes away, and there’s a shortcut to the bus station that takes about two minutes.

We’ve stayed here twice and loved it. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and everything was very clean. When heavy rain came, they let us keep the room for most of an extra day.

Really nice people run this clean, well-priced place, very close to the town center and port. It can get a bit noisy from around 7am if you’re not an early riser.
