The owner came across as pushy and rude in the response, and seems to blame "competition" instead of his own dishonest behavior for his and the property's poor reputation in Split. The attached photo shows that we stayed there. Poor Gordan apparently can't keep track of guest names. The place didn't feel luxurious. The TV was tiny, there was no counter or shelf space, and the living room "table" was an unstable piece of stone that I couldn't put anything on. The kitchen had barely the basics. The mattresses and bedding felt cheap, nowhere near "luxury," and the towels were so thin they seemed to have been used for years.

The owner cancelled our reservation two weeks before the agreed date, even though we'd paid the advance as arranged, and left us stranded. There was no real hearing or willingness to offer any compensation. Renters who behave this way shouldn't be allowed to keep their licence. Shame. I saw the owner's reply claiming he didn't know me and that he thought I was planning a party. That's not true. He took the advance payment months earlier and knew all about the booking. These lies and deceptions say more about his character and the way he does business than about me. He'd be better off staying quiet instead of lying and creating even bigger problems for himself.

The house was booked in good time and we paid a deposit, but the owner cancelled without giving a specific reason just 10 days before our stay. Completely unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. He doesn't deserve even one star.

The owner was very unprofessional. Even though we'd paid the deposit months earlier, the villa booking was cancelled two weeks before we were due to stay. I don't recommend it.
