Apartments Vila Marija

A neat, pleasant place in a good location, and one of the more affordable places to eat around here. The food was good and everything we tried was tasty, from the pizzas and salads to the risottos, including black risotto and one with fig and shrimp. They didn't have fresh fish when we visited. Prices were reasonable.

The setting and view are lovely, and the croissants are delicious. Coffee and the other drinks are excellent and fairly priced. It's a shame the oven can't turn out even the small batch of croissants quickly enough.

We came for pizza, but after waiting an hour because there wasn't a table, we were told there was no more pizza when we finally sat down and tried to order. Someone at the next table then got a pizza, and that was when I left. It's a pizzeria, after all. The lemonade was overpriced and tasted like nothing, just a drop of syrup. The waiter set our drinks down roughly, like an animal. Never go there. The picture says it all, expectations versus reality.

We've spent summers in Splitska for the past three years, and each time we've eaten at Vila Marija a few times. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The service is perfect, with friendly, helpful staff who make you feel welcome.
