From bed, we could open the curtain and see the spectacular mountains. The mattress was so comfortable that I slept really well and wished I had one like it at home. The shower was always warm, with no waiting for it to heat up, and the aircon could both heat and cool. Cooking was easy with the pots and utensils for two, and the full fridge/freezer and washing machine were exactly why I booked this apartment. The facilities didn't disappoint. It's a 7-10min walk to a supermarket that sells hot food, 10mins to Srebeno beach, and 11mins to Kupari beach. Maya, the host's mum, was very warm and friendly, and available if we needed her, though we had everything we needed. For a 2 star apartment, it exceeded expectations, and we loved our stay. A couple of things could be better: in mid/late Oct, bathroom condensation took ages to clear, so a fan vent would help. We weren't comfortable leaving the windows open, perhaps because we're very security conscious coming from London. A microwave, wine glasses, a small lamp, and more clothes storage would have been useful, though none was essential for a 2 star property. The great views come with a climb up the reknowned Croatian "stairs", but it was sooooo worth the panting. The nos 10 bus goes from the main road stops to Dubrovnik Old Town or Gruz Market to the West, and Cavtat to the East. It costs €2.90/€3.30 each way, a bargain!
