Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel

We’re on our last day of a 10-day stay and hate to leave. The facilities have been excellent, and everyone we dealt with was professional. Our room was spacious, well equipped and had a great balcony view. It was cleaned to a high standard each day. We booked bed and breakfast, and the morning buffet was spot on. We didn't try the hotel bar or dining room in the evening because they seemed a bit pricey, though there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. From the moment we arrived, the stay was first class.

The hotel itself is lovely, and its main dining room and affiliated restaurant both serve wonderful food with great service. The venue is fantastic. I'd suggest staying outside Dubrovnik instead of booking in the city, since there are plenty of ways to get to and from the old town. That said, I’d call this a solid four-star hotel, not five. At check-in, the air conditioning, TV and in-room phone weren't working. I had to ask for the tea and coffee station to be replenished, bicycles cost extra to rent, and the bar menu is limited. It also takes a while for the shower water to heat up.

We stayed in the attached apartments and villas rather than the main hotel. Both were excellent, clean and spacious, and the price was great for what you get. The location is hard to beat, just up the street from the water taxi to nearby cities, including Dubrovnik. The front desk staff were exceptional at check-in on both occasions. I'll stay at this property again on my next visit.

The hotel's location worked really well for us. It’s outside the old town’s hustle and bustle, so we could relax in the spa in the evenings, yet reach the old town in about 15 minutes by car. We’d stay here again next time we're back in Dubrovnik. I had breakfast at Leut restaurant on four of our five days at the Sheraton, and each time was a delight. The staff were polite and professional, but Andja was especially warm, attentive and personable. When I mentioned the chocolate croissants had run out, she checked with the kitchen and arranged for more. She even ordered two when she saw I was with my husband, then brought them to me herself. Thank you, Andja!
