Apartments Hrvoje

The owners were fantastic. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed for a family vacation. The sea was a few steps away, the shop was nearby, and the swimming pool was part of the accommodation. Thumbs up!

Mr. Hrvoje deserves a mention: whenever we pointed out something that needed attention, he responded quickly and sorted it out. The apartment suited us, and the area was peaceful, though a little way from the sea. I’d have liked more dishes in the kitchen and a bigger fridge with a freezer. Otherwise, no complaints.

The pool area had little room beside it, especially when other guests took over, and it stayed in the shade. The beach with shade was a bit of a walk away. I was also confused about how to get into the house when we arrived, and the owner collected the remaining payment straight away in the yard. The apartment looked nice at first, but issues showed up later: the kitchen utensils were very sparse, the fridge was tiny (half a watermelon barely fit) despite having a freezer compartment, and it wasn't clean when we got it. The cleaning lady later apologized and brought us gifts. The mosquito nets weren't being used properly. In the heat, the air conditioning didn't cool the bedroom, which was really annoying. The Wi-Fi and TV either didn't work or worked very poorly. Since the owner doesn't live in the building, I'd suggest putting up clear rules for the house and pool.

Having a pool in the yard was a real plus, and the beach was about 300m away. We were on the ground floor, and the apartment seemed OK at first. But the Wi-Fi kept cutting out or not working, and the bathroom drains gave off an incredibly bad smell.
