The room was fairly clean, but there was dust on the shelves and the towels smelled unpleasant. The whole stay felt uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer visit. We’d chosen the place because of its great Booking.com reviews, but from the outset none of the owners could speak English. We arrived around 12:30 PM and the lady said someone else had booked the room already, so we were lucky to get it. The next day I asked for toilet paper, since we’d only been given one roll for the whole stay. She reminded me that one roll was all we were entitled to and that we had to buy more ourselves. The garbage bags were treated the same way. We also felt watched: the owners kept asking us to move our motorcycles and told us to lock the balcony door, even with the air conditioning off. When I tried to ask about the electric stove, the lady was on the phone and ignored me. Our checkout was by 10:00 AM, but from 9:00 people were gathering under our ground-floor balcony and looking into the room. It faced the garden and had no blinds, only white plastic shutters that we closed at night, which made the situation awkward. Then a lady came and asked whether we were ready to leave because the next occupants were waiting. We were there for only three incomplete days, yet felt more like a nuisance than guests.

The accommodation itself is very good, but the owners’ behavior toward guests who are working felt like harassment. The constant watching of what we did and how we did it was the worst part. During my two-week stay, I was told to move my car at least four times, sometimes because their daughter or other guests were coming, and I’d be asked to park somewhere else again the next day. We were also expected to ration toilet paper and garbage bags, and couldn’t ask for more. We were told to turn off the air conditioning when leaving, couldn’t treat the paid terrace as our own, and had to lock gates and doors as if they were glass. There’s no Wi-Fi; if you have more than two bars, you can’t play YouTube. I’d give it 2.5 out of 5. Such a shame.

The place was clean and comfortable, and check-in at 3 a.m. went smoothly. There’s a large parking lot too. 😀
