We had a lovely view over the bay and the center of Stari Grad. The family was fantastic, and the rooms were nice.

Stari Grad is beautiful and pleasant, with lovely people, and the host deserves praise. He also has excellent local wine. The apartment itself was okay, though it seems nothing has been invested in the rooms since Yugoslavia, unfortunately, as with many places to stay in Croatia. The service was excellent. The Old Town sits in a bay, so the sea there isn’t clean; for a good beach you have to walk a bit or drive. The parking lot by the stadium has a very sharp curb, which caused trouble for my low-profile tires. Getting there by car from Banja Luka was one of the most beautiful experiences, though the ferry queue was crowded. A recommendation for anyone looking to relax.
