We ended up extending our stay because we were having such a good time. It’s a wonderful spot in nature, but still close to the little island amenities you might need. There are plenty of places to relax, from the garden and poolside lounge to a shady reading nook with a hammock and beds for afternoon naps. We lived, worked, and rested like locals, and learned about the island’s fascinating history. The lavender fields and lovely night sky made it hard to imagine a better place. Mirjana and Leo were incredible hosts, sharing homemade wine and olive oil and making us feel welcome from the start. It’s ideal for a family, a couple, or a few friends looking for a getaway. We can’t say enough good things about this slice of paradise.

Mirjana and Leo have created something special, with warm, laidback energy that seems to reach every corner of the property. There are so many little spots to spend time together or find some solitude if you’re here with others. The photos don’t do it justice. We’ve been here a month and I still wake up wondering if I’m dreaming. Being surrounded by lush scenery feels like therapy from Mother Nature, and the luxurious off-grid lifestyle has been simple, minimal, and deeply satisfying. We’ve loved cooking dinner over an open fire. The place was spotless and ready for us, with a welcome from the hosts and a lovely plate of local prosciutto, cheese, and olives. Their homemade wine and olive oil were phenomenal too. Hvar has plenty to offer, but honestly, I don’t want to leave. It’s everything I imagined and more, perfect for families, a romantic trip, a creative stay, or even a wellness or yoga retreat. Mirjana and Leo are present and available whenever needed, and their suggestions for INCREDIBLE local beaches and places to visit helped us plan our time well. At Oxa dreamland, you can almost feel the ancient history of the Stari Grad plain, which is under UNESCO's protection. It feels like stepping into a dream, with privacy guaranteed and little reason to leave once you arrive. I promise your soul will keep longing for Oxa.

It really feels like a Dreamland, and it’s completely private. I could happily live there forever. I’d have given it five stars if the weather had been better and there’d been more indoor space.
