Hotel Vicko

Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of fresh options, but service ends at 9:00 AM. That feels early when you're on vacation, and a later finish would be appreciated. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though the soundproofing was very poor. We could hear all the hallway noise as if people were in our room.

The beach is just a short walk away, and the balcony looks out over the ocean. The rooms are modern, the beds are comfy, and the air conditioning works great. WiFi was mostly good, though it cut out now and then. I took off a star because reception was often unattended, the restaurant was closed in the evening, and breakfast started later than advertised.

We stayed at the hotel and found it an excellent base for exploring Paklenica national park. Breakfast had a good selection without being over the top, and the service was absolutely great. The rooms are simple, clean, air-conditioned, and have nice views of the surroundings. Hotel Vicko and Villa Vicko are across the main street from each other in Starigrad, share access to a very nice part of the beach, and are owned by the same family.

The hotel is close to the beach and National Park Paklenica, and the views around it are gorgeous. Breakfast is included, with enough choice for everyone. The staff were very helpful, and we enjoyed our summer stay, our doggy did too. Parking costs 15 euro per day, and bringing a pet is also 15 euro per day. We plan to come back in spring or autumn.
